Dear List,

From the Winkler catalog, translated via AltaVista (Warning: the following is not for the faint of heart!):

______________________________________________________________________ The Oettinger brake assembly consists of 4 disc brakes (ventilated fronts) with solid brake calipers and a dual-servo emergency brake. It not only improves stopping times, but also performs with unusual durability, even if heavy trailers are pulled. A prerequisite for the installation: 15 or 16 inch wheels.

Vanagon -- DM 3.950 (currently approx. $2350 US) Vanagon Syncro -- DM 4.500 (currently approx. $2678 US)

Oettinger brake booster, 10 inch -- DM 611 (currently approx. $363 US) ______________________________________________________________________

Not mentioned are where one gets spare brake pads! It would be nice if they were stock Porsche/BMW/Mercedes replacement parts -- anyone know?

Cheers,

Michael J. Sullivan
