I ordered a pair of wind/rain deflectors for my 1989 Westy a few weeks ago from MacNeil. They sure looked nice on the van and installed without a problem. However, the fit is too loose, especially on one window, so I am sending them back. They would literally slowly slide down the window when I was driving. The guy at MacNeil was helpful when I called and explained that he was still in the process of trying to find a vanagon to test fit. Apparently some of these only work if you install it a certain way. I followed the instructions that came with mine and there really doesn't seem to me to be many other ways to install it other than what the instructions say (I've certainly tried). He was going to call me back in a few days but after two weeks of waiting for the call I finally called him up and got a return authorization number. They are going back to MacNeil in tomorrow's mail. Supposedly I was only the second one out of the twenty-five people that he said ordered one that called back with a problem on the fit.
