Howdy all! I have read several messages from people with shifting problems, especially 3rd and 4th gear. Usually, Todd or Dennis will mention that they may have a crached or broken 3rd/4th gear hub.

Sounds ominous, but what is it? I've added a page to my website at http://www.relitech.com/tomc/tomvw.htm that shows exactly what the failed components look like. This happened to me a few years ago, when I owned a '87 GL, and I still had the old parts laying around the garage.

When you get to my website, follow the "Tech Pages" link, and then choose "091-1 Transmission" from there.

Thanks, TomC tcarrington@relitech.com
