Now that it is too cold and wet to be working on my van, I have finally got around to installing my heater.

When installing the heater "flat on the floor", with its larger surfaces top and bottom, is there a top side and bottom side? The drawings show the electrical connections and green LEDs along the bottom edge, but can the unit be flipped through 180 degrees along its longest axis such that the electrical connections and green LEDs are at the top?

Why would I want to do this? To have the other (combustion air in/out and gas connections pointing either backwards or forwards, and to have the forced air inlet or outlet closer to the center of the van (old engine coolant heater cutout in wood kickpanel).

I just bought a a propane tank from a late model aircooled bus. This tank was mounted just below the sliding door, and I think I can mount it in the same place on my 89 Westy, with some additional mounting brackets, and dedicate this tank to the heater and other lamps or stoves I wish to run under the awning, keeping the other tank for the fridge. From the tank there was a plastic line to a separate regulator, and another plastic line from it to the stove.

Is it safe to use this type of plastic hose simplify routing?

Thank you........JoE
