No. I asked Carver about this, and they said it can be flipped no more than 90 degrees. If you're going to have one of the big sides down, it has to be the side with the LED's and electrical connection. (I was surprised they didn't make that clearer in the instructions, which are generally very good.)

It sounds like the same orientation I used would work: under the rear seat, on the passenger side, bottom down, combustion air in/out facing forward, forced air in/out facing toward the driver's side. It would be very easy to duct into the existing heater cutout that way.

I would think so, as long as it's standard flexible propane hose.
