I guess I'm biased, 'cause I have the Thule rack system for 2 cars. I checked out

and it looks like #589 and #545 would work out pretty well. The Thule bars I have extend out to the sides (can't remember the length, but the bars are model #300), so my guess is that the above bike fixtures might fit along the outside.

For me the placement doesn't matter, 'cause we have a GL. :-)
