    First let me say, this is the best resource I have ever seen for
these amazing vehicles!  I am still very much a newbie, but everyone
here should be very pleased with the help offered by the list members!


    My question is concerning the replacement of my flue vent cover.  I
called up a couple of my local VW dealers (what am I thinking??)  They
quoted me a price of $230.00 Cdn.  Apparently I cannot buy a replacement
flue vent cover I have to buy the entire assembly.  This isn't really an
option.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Make shift riggings
perhaps?  Used parts resources?  I live in Ottawa Ontario, Canada.
Winter is going to be really cruel on my baby.


    Any help would be appreciated.
