Subject: 85 Vanagon intermittent electrical problem
Comments: To: Vanagon@vanagon.com
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Dear Listees: I have an intermittent electrical problem I hope someone has seen before or can offer advice on. The turn signals and windshield wipers quit working while the engine was running. With the engine off (ignition on only) the turn signals and wipers worked normally. They again quit working as soon as I re-started the engine. The problem went away before I could trouble-shoot it and I my battery went dead recently so maybe I have a short. Is there a common relay or ground wire for the wipers and turn signals and why would the engine running make a difference? Any advice is appreciated! Please respond to: chiang1@usa.net
