Hi All,

My bro-in-law and family have decided that after 7 years with their 84 Vanagon it is time to upgrade. He is looking for either a later model, low mileage Vanagon (does not need to be a Carat with all the bells and whistles--just needs seating for seven) or a Eurovan. He likes the Vanagon's ease of maintenance, the space, and the fuel mileage. He does not like the frequency of maintenance, the lack of power, nor the ugly brown color. He knows very little about the Eurovan and would like advice from people that have/had a Eurovan (really great if you have had a Vanagon also and could compare/contrast the two). I have been on the list for a little over 2 years and I do not pay much attention to posts about Eurovans--so I could not offer him any words of wisdom about the Eurovans.

Any advice that you could give and vans for sale would be appreciated.

BTW, he travels a lot with his job and would be willing to go pick one up if it was a 'dream machine'. He lives about 60 miles north of Seattle.

Thanks alot,

Garth
