Subject: 84 GL Heater question
Comments: To: vanagon@vanagon.com

I drove my son's newly purchased Vanagon to work today....the front heater was only producing warm, but not hot air eventhough I had the heat control on full hot. The rear heater was producing slightly warmer air. When I drove slowly the temperature rose slightly. The temp gauge was sitting dead center when the engine was warmed up.

Is this warm air normal? If, not what can I do to get more heat...the kid is taking the Vanagon to Rochester, NY in January. Does the cooling system need to be bled?

Thanks in advance.

Ric
