Subject: 5-cylinder swap FAQ (Yes it does work on Syncros!)

OK as you might have guessed I have had alot of questions hurled at me about the kit. Here are some answers: Yes the kit does fit into syncros and yes you can still have your skid plate. The kit I am putting together right now does not allow you to check your oil level or add oil, or add water (you should be able to check the water level with a flashlight though). I know this is inconvenient and if you are dead set on haveing this option then the kit could be modified in this way, but this would be a custom job and cost extra. However you have to remind yourself that this is not a waterboxer. You are not going to need to check your oil and water level at every gas fill up (as all good, paranoid from experience, Vanagon owners have learned to do). If you checked it once a week this would be more than sufficent. I am setting up a website for the swap that will have pictures, etc. I'll drop the link to the List when this is done. Thanks for the interest and let me know if you have even more questions, which I really don't mind answering. Ken Wilford Van-Again John 3:16
