Hello all,

We just had our first dose of snow and ice in North Eastern Colorado. The Syncro Westfalia with Nokia Hakkapelikta studded snow tires is extraordinary on icy roads. Very stable, especially in braking. You need to keep an eye on the mirror in traffic since you can stop in a much shorter distance than the SUV thats been tailgating you.

In 25 years of Colorado driving with a variety of 4WD, AWD and air-cooled VWs, this is the best Ive yet found. The drawback is that the Syncro sounds like all four wheel bearings are failing at once on dry pavement with these four studded monsters attached. Fortunately, I will only be driving this when the roads are snowy / icy.

Question #1: Im looking for a complete package of electric mirrors, wiring harness and controls to convert my Syncro from manual to electric outside mirrors. Anybody have any of these pieces available that they would like to sell?

Question #2: Did VW ever make heated windshield washer nozzles for the Vanagon? Anybody have some available, know part #s etc??

Question #3: I would like to find a set of the factory 14" alloy wheels. Anybody have a complete set (wheels, center caps, lug nuts) they would like to sell?

Thanks in advance, and happy holidays... Jon B Kanas

Boulder County Colorado: 194249 sq Hectares surrounded by reality. Working hard to keep it this way
