True, according to my experience. Without power steering, cornering as well as parking, let alone off road driving is probably a pain in the arms :-). But with power steering you shouldn't notice much difference between a Syncro and a 2WD Vanagon.

Not true, according to my experience. The two Syncros I've owned so far didn't show this problem. Maybe, that's peculiar to just your Syncro's tranny rather than to all Syncros.

Again not true, according to my experience. Never had any problem here. Are German Syncro gas tanks different from American ones or are German gas stations' filling nozzles different from American ones?
