     "Released?"  That still doesn't mean that you are free to reproduce
it.

     Credits or not, other people's property isn't yours to do with it
what you will.  That piece of writing belongs to Dave Barry (or to his
publisher) and the fact of the matter is that you need his permission to
reproduce it the way you did.

     Here in the US, one of the primary rights we believe in is the right
to property.  I don't think you'd let someone steal your van.  And I
don't think that the fact that they left your name on it would make you
feel any better about their theft.

     I've been a fan of Dave Barry for years.  Long enough to remember
when one could get his column on clari.net.  Unfortunately, that service
was stopped for the sole reason that people like you took the columns and
reposted them with no respect for the copyright notice.
