Hi Marshall,
    I have been working with these swivels  a lot lately and they get a bit sticky and dirty at the base over time.  But they are easy to remove and clean. Slide the seat forward until it slides off, you eventually need to raise a small catch on the left side rail. With the seat off you will note the swivel is held on my 4 nuts. Remove the swivel by removing said nuts and clean the swivel. Clean and relub with a bit of user friendly lubricant like Vaseline or lubriplate ( white engine prelub)  The swivel will now  function as it did when new.  If it is still too tight you might want to try some washers on the bolts / studs  between the swivel and the wheel well mount, this shouldn't be necessary unless something is warped.  Happy swiveling.

    Here is my problem of the day:
     
    My passenger seat is really tough to rotate around. The thing is, it has to be rotated with a person (my wife) seated in it.
     
    Background: We bought the Westy becuase it is the ONLY stock van (that we know of) where a person in a wheelchair can use it without having to raise the roof or lower the floor.
     
    Besides, It's something I've always wanted ( I digress)
     
    Anyhow, she tranfers into the passenger seat from her wheelchair, and then we rotate the seat around untill it locks. Not easy!
     
    I'm afraid if I use a heavy grease, it will get over everything.
     
    What do you think?
