It seems to me that, when you consider the price of paying someone for motels, meals, fuel, driving fee, etc., that your costs would be very close to that of a transport company. Not to mention the risk and additional non-pleasure mileage to your vehicle.

We are considering moving our vehicle from PA to CA. The best quote ($895.00) we received so far was from Allen Auto Transport out of Marina Del RAy, CA 1-800-722-2267, http://www.allenauto.com

* * * * * * * I have asked about a move from Danville, Illinois to Portland, Oregon. The house packers are here as we speak and the computer is next!

I NEED HELP.

I have received numersous threads about using companies that move cars. Trucking puts it at a very prohibitive cost. Having a non-Vanagon driver makes my skin crawl.

A few of the members have p-mailed me to give ideas and offers to drive or tow.. The bottom line is I have lost your names and offers. Is anyone willing to drive or tow my Vanagon from Danville to Portland (ultimate Vancouver, WA)

My email will be down and need telephone contact Call collec if you must.
