I can get new 2.3l 5 cylinder longblocks for a good price if people wanted them for thier conversion. However, in spite of the hp and torque numbers making the 2.3l look like the best motor for this swap, I have been told by folks who have done several of these swaps that the 2.1l 5-cylinder is actually better. These motors are very cheap, available, and I can check into getting them new as well. I guess that the difference in the numbers and why the 2.3l looks better on paper and why it is not in real life is the difference between theory and practice. The difference between book horsepower and brake horsepower. Of course a turbo powered motor eclipses both of these in hp and torque. I will pass on how this conversion is going to the list when it comes back up or to the 5-cylinder mailing list as it occurs. Ken Wilford Van-Again John 3:16
