Venerable Vangoneer status is achieved with a trip of more than 500 miles (one way) without so much as a flat tire. standing around an engine-pull, commenting on how wrong they are doing it, doesn't count.<<<

Sob,Sob,Sob!!! I drove my '85GL 4500 miles one way from Anchorage, Alaska to Birmingham, Alabama. In 6 straight days of driving there wasn't so much as a hiccup. On the 7th day, at the 4440 mile mark, the water pump on my "85 GL blew, 60 miles short of my final destination.

Sob, Sob!!
