I saw no mention as to whether or not there is an trip-ometer included with the speedo in question. If so, then check to see if the tenths of a mile/kilometer is turning over properly, if not then push reset botton as needed to get it to catch and go. My 87 GL Syncro has that problem and it shows up after each fillup when I reset the trip-ometer. Sometimes I have to push the button a couple of times.
