The Temp I sensor on my '84DL (1.9L gas engine) appears to have gone "crazy" with the advent of cooler weather here in the Deep South. After about 1 minute after the engine is started, temp needle moves to mid gauge or higher. Then sometimes it will drop to almost dead cold. Is this typical of a bad sensor? Coolant level is high enough to keep the flashing LED off, but I am probably a couple of quarts shy of full. If it is a bad sensor, any "gotchas" on removing the old and installing a new one?
