As I recall from past experience, in general, the aircraft fuel injection systems are mechanical and not electronic (like DigiJet/fant) and are relatively simple to adjust and repair. It's not a fair comparison to the Vanagon equivalent...but if I lived where the CleanAirAct emission regulations didn't apply, I'd ditch my Vanagon's mighty fine Digifant FI, too...
