Greetings Mike. I used to own a '95 Passat Wagon, VR6, 5 speed. I really enjoyed the car. Interior space for hauling is great. I enjoyed this vehicle even more after I installed a sport suspension. Didn't lower it very much, a few CM, but it really hugged the road nicely. It did stiffen the car up a bit, Bilstein shocks and spring sets are such and that is not to everyones taste. The VR6 is a lovely motor, low end a bit slow, but once the RPM's are up, it really sings. I used to love 3rd gear. I can't recall any major mechanical problems over 2 years of driving, when new a few interior items malfunctioned but fixed under warranty. If you are into it, lots of aftermarket products available. Why did I sell it? Needed more space. Hence the syncro. A few regrets, it was a nice car. Good luck. -- R.Feuerriegel 88 syncro
