I checked my fuel pump and it is OK. Seems I was chasing a ghost. There is only a 3 sec fuel pump run when the ignition key is turned to the on position. This only applies to wasserboxers. The 80-83 air-cooled Vanagons don't do this. The pump turns on when you start the motor. Thanks Karl. FreeBird still wants to stay dormant for the winter cause she still doesn't want to start. I'll have to check for spark later. The weather is NOT cooperating with me as it is 20 degrees and snowing. :-( I'll keep you posted Bill
