Tim, The tranny mainshaft is slightly wobbly, but it is also wobbly on another used tranny I have. I was thinking that this mainshaft play is normal, and the pilot bearing is needed on the other end to provide stability. The tranny did not have popout problems like yours, but did some clutch howling and leaked fluid out of mainshaft seal. I am hoping this will go away when the new pilot bearing and seal are in place. I'm wondering if the crankshaft could have somehow destroyed the pilot bearing? -Steve
