Just wanted to say that Malcolm is a really nice guy and we talked before about his carb setup on the phone last year. It seems that his setup is doing well for him, but he had an engine fire tottally trash his FI setup so the carb thing was not just to get rid of the FI. As an Aircraft Mech, we deal with both carburation and Fuel Injection (alot of the stuff flying out there still has carbs). I still say that carbs are more touchy, less efficient, more complicated, and although Malcolm is doing well with his setup I really can't recommend others try the same. I am almost postive that it will not pass emissions here in the US (which is really why US automakers finally went to Fuel Injection on all thier cars in the late '80s when Foreign cars (except for some real cheapies) had been using it since the late 70s). So my advice is get to know your FI system, become friends. Most of the "problems" that we experience here on the list with the FI could be either quickly remedied or avoided altogether if we just knew how the system worked and developed proper troubleshooting skills. Disclaimer: This is not a flame. It is OK to disagree with me (sometimes I do). Ken Wilford Van-Again John 3:16
