If you try to compare the EV with a minivan, and you like minivans, then you won't be happy. The EV is much larger and taller. Minivans drive like cars, the EV drives a lot like a truck. (or like a VW Bus)

If you try to compare the EV with the larger Ford/Chevy rear wheeled vans, and you like that kind a thing, then you won't be happy either. The EV is a little smaller.

I have to admit that I used to think of the EV as a minivan until I bought one. Park the EV next to one, and you'll see just how much taller the EV is. The EV stands up well next to my '74 Bus.

The German engineering and enjoyment of driving it is the reason I bought my EV. When I called the PO (she traded it in on a new Chevy) she wanted it back! After owning the EV for so long, she couldn't stand driving the Chevy.

And yes I enjoy driving it. It is as much fun as driving my '74. A couple of guys in local NEATO chapter were ribbing me about the EV. Well, to me this is a VW bus. Just get behind the wheel and you get the same feeling as driving a bus. Poke your head underneath and you see some familiar rails and crossmembers.

Of course driving an EV won't evoke the same feeling as driving the new beetle. But it does evoke the feeling of driving a VW bus. Had the reviewers ever owned VW buses, then I'm sure driving the EV would of evoked that nostalgic feeling.

Of course the automatic tranny, dual air, real heat, heated mirrors and front wheel drive aint too bad either. (my EV has at least 5 cupholders, 7 if you count the little square spot in the doors. How many f***ing cupholders do you need anyway?)
