Philip,

The squeak is most likely coming from the shifter. It's fairly easy to lubricate it. Firt, remove the spare tire. It's much easier to get to the shifter mechanism if you remove the tire carrier as well, but this isn't mandatory. The shifter mechanism is in a metal box towards the rear of the area occupied by the spare tire. The rear of the box is open and allows access to the mechanism. Glob some grease up in there onto the moving parts, then get into the van and move the shifter around to distribute the grease. That should do it.
