Given the fact that Vanagons are a pain in the neck with always needing something fixed and the cost of parts from dealers, thank goodness for list vendors. If not for the list information and the list venders, I would have sold my vanagons and bought a Ford or Chevy Van a long time ago. Perhaps the BMW, Land Rover, Volvo, Mercedes don't break down as often as Vanagons or maybe the people that own them don't care how much it costs to keep them running. In general, the folks that own VWs seem to be a thrifty lot. Any one on the other lists describing how you can fix rotted heads with JB Weld for instance? -- Regards, Rich |
