If it cost you so much to import this manual, I wonder if they shipped it to you by UPS. I no longer use UPS to ship items into Canada, I use the postal service instead. UPS charges a small fortune to clear items through customs. I received a package from Europe last week that was shipped by standard post. The company was shipping some replacement parts because the original shipment was damaged. The packing slip attached to the box said as much, and listed the invoice amount as zero. The US postal service delivered it to my door. I did not need to clear it. If the company ships you a replacement and marks the documents as such, you may not have to clear it again. If they insist on using UPS, insist that they prepay all duty and fees. Good luck.
