On my 82 I put the Oil Temp and Pressure on a twin pod mounted to the right and below the steering column. I mounted the bracket to the foam-dash piece betweeen the heat duct and the stering column. I drilled one hole from below and used th ehole that the dash piece mounts with as my second attachement point. I only added one whole that is not very visible. I ran the wires underneath the van through where the headlights connect and into the dash. At the same elevation but to the left of the steering, I mounted my Voltmeter in the same fashion. I do have to look down to see my gauges but it was really easy to do and they are out of the way of sun and heat also. At night the glow of the gauges does not reflect on the windshield at this location. If anyone wants more info they can contact me direct. I may have a photo here somewhere. Ken wyatt 82 westy |
