Dave, You can actually bent the arm CAREFULLY to one side with a pair of needle nose pliers (I did that), but others have suggested that loosening the screws holding the pc board down (the pc board has the resistive track that is wiped), and repositioning it will do the same thing. This sounds like the way to go.
