The Volvo/VW unit is a SIX-cylinder unit, and was the main choice of engine in the LT-series. So, if any of you need a 6-cyl VW diesel, just look under the hood of any Volvo diesel car. In fact, look closely at the parts and part numbers, VW stampings are everywhere! (At least in the '86 740 D6 I looked at once) The diesels offered in the 850 TDIs are 5-cyl Audi units though, the same 140 hp as the Audi 100, but I'm not sure if you ever got 850 TDIs over there.
