There is ALOT of interest in the 5-cylinder kits. I have over 50 email addresses of folks who are interested in the kits. That doesn't mean that all of them are actually interested enough to buy, but it does show a strong interest. I think one of the big hang ups with folks actually buying the kit has been the fear of being first. People want to have stuff done by others and then see it themselves or at least hear enough about it to get a good idea of what they are getting. So by allowing folks to come test drive one of our vans in San Francisco (please contact me and I will setup an apointment for you and get directions), or by a fellow list member having the swap done (Mark Drillock) the fear of being first should soon evaporate. Mark is having the kit put in his syncro Westie so the primary folks interested in this kit (from emails I get they are mostly either sycro owners or Westie owners or both) should be able to see and maybe even test drive the kit installed in a van the same as thiers. This should be done within the next three weeks. I will keep the list posted and I am sure that Mark will let you folks know when this is done as well. Thanks for the interest, Ken Wilford Van-Again John 3:16 |
