Hellu all vanagon owners

I want to put a 1,9 or a 2,5 TDI engine in my vanagon, but I am wondering about the transmission.

How much horsepower and torqu can it take before it will be torn apart. Wich transmission ( 1979-> ) can manage a 2,5 TDI engine with 140HP (180 HP Chip tuned) and 300-400 Nm

Anyone heard of a trasmission whit ID character ASL ? Maby have someone have tecs for this transmission? Do you know where they have been used (i know it is used in a Limited Last Edition 1992).?

Thank You all for a great mailing list

Henning Kristiansen

Norway!!!!!
