Interesting that you bring this subject up....I recently bought an 87 Audi
5000 S to use as a second car, but with an alterior motive.  I figure
someday if the motor goes in my 84 Vanagon, then I'll consider the 5 cyl
conversion.  But $2,700 for a kit seem a bit stiff considering that I'm
supplying the motor, FI and all its components.
Maybe I'm wrong and there's more involved than I think....
