Subject: Square Headlight >>Downgrade<< Kit
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I am in the process of downgrading the headlights on my '86 Syncro from the stock rectangular configuration to the old fashioned round kind.

A round eye grill and buckets from an '8? that I got from the Bus Depot will be transplanted into the existing space. I may try and keep the square driving lights if I can figure out to modify the grill in a cosmetically appealing manner.

The biggest thing holding be back right now is my hesitation to cut the existing wires to replace the terminals. I may rewire the headlights so that I can maintain a 'return to stock' option.

The basic job is bang simple and could be done in just a few hours. It is going to take me much longer to clean and polish the old/new grill.

John-Reed '86 Syncro - Glacie Mesa, AZ
