Yes, indeed I have, and to be honest, it was nothing special, and once again,
was decidedly American.  I have also driven a Scirocco(my friend's 88 16v),
and they felt NOTHING alike.  I can't see how they would be comparable in any
sense, other than the dual overhead cams.

Scirocco:  2 door German sports coupe, DOHC 4 in-line, blazing acceleration
(enough to stomp all over my GTI), handles like a dream, beautiful styling by
Karmann, the man responsible for the Karmann Ghia

Taurus SHO:  4-door American family sedan, (Japanese)DOHC V-6, not enough
juice to outrun my stock GTI on the highway, handles like an American family
sedan is expected to,  boring styling thanks to a high school dropout in
Michigan

So, what were the similarities again?
