Be sure to take the old "high road" from Santa Fe to Taos which take you through Chimayo (be sure to have lunch at Rancho de Chimayo) then on to Truchas, Trampas and finally on to Ranchos de Taos (be sure to stop and photograph the St Francis de Asis church, made famous by Ansel Adams and Georgia O'Keefe) and finally to Taos. Have dinner at the Taos Inn. The old "high road" trip will take from 4-5 hours depending upon how many stops you make -- and I do recommend you stop often! Whereas the highway from Taos to Santa Fe is only 1 1/2 hrs. All in all, a nice day trip.

Cheers,

MJS
