Just purchased one a month ago. GLX version wagon with vr6. motor is well suited for car but mileage is dissappointing, about 600 km or so on 70 litre tank. "against my own words " we bought an automatic too (we got a great deal on the car, and the intention was for it to be my girlfriends car and she didn't care) I am dissappointed with the AT especially the shift points, mind you VW doesn't claim their specialty is AT's. Our car in GLX trim has all the fixins. it is perfect for trips or hauling stuff around. Can't comment on reliability only had it a month. But generally a real nice car for the price.
