I am a new list member and the owner of a 1991 Vanagon. Recently my Vanagon exhibited signs of the dreaded cylinder head coolant leak. What is the latest tecnique for replacing the head gaskets and heads ? Have their been any revision in the head gaskets to improve the sealing with the block? My Vanagon has 80K on the clock; I would like any repair to last at least naother 80 K. My local VW dealership has been useless in providing this information. If I am going to do this repair job I need the latest on materials and techniques for repairing this problem. Please advise. Thank you for your assistance. JIseman457@ao l.com |
