Agreed. My '82 DL Wagon(Stickshift), was incredibly reliable, and as solid as a tank. I sold it to buy the GTi, and with 244K on the clock, i still had the original clutch. Sold that car at 15 years old for $1800. Can't beat that resale value. -Dave '88 GTi 16v '88 Vanagon GL Wolfsburg
