There was NOWHERE to obtain parts other than a scrap vehicle (try finding one in a salvage yard!) or the owners club. To be a member you had to pay annual dues. The club then commisioned the manufacture of spare parts which were sold to the members. As far as I can see, we are getting the same type of service for our vehicles (albeit not as rare as the Messerschmitt) for free via this list. I therefore have no problem with the occasional commercial post. |
