Volks, After reading many posts about replacing fuel lines on our aging Vanagons, my father-in-law's '85 started to leak this morning, Saturday. We had been discussing a few days ago replacing all the fuel lines on his 85 and my '87. As we drove up to his house this morning he was pulling out of his drive with a steady stream of gas hitting the ground. We pulled it apart and the gas spray was coming from the short piece of hose between the injector itself and the fuel rail. We have no clue as to how to remove the hose from the injector as it has a rolled collar holding it on. No clamp. Are we looking at complete new injector units?? I just spent quite some time searching the archives but came up empty on this particular. Also, are the standard neoprene lines from FLAPS ok to use? TIA Jess Lopatynski 85 GTI 87 GL 89 Targa |
