I use them fairly frequently. NAPA has two lines. Gold and Silver. I spend the extra couple o' bucks and get the Gold. Do they meet VAGs requirements? Don't know, but before this list came along, Fram and Purolator made pretty good oil filters. My personal opinion is that it really doesn't make that much difference.. What matters is that one changes the filter every 3k or so. Seems to be working. The Vanagon has 181k and the bus (Riviera Campwagen) has 150k. Neither has dropped a rod yet...
