skip barber racing school used adaptor plates such as these(v-dub tranny to f*** engines) for a long time but with bus transaxles, now they are using 2.0 liter neon engines made by..... well nevermind, mated to close ratio bus transaxles. the interesting thing is that on the old tranny's there is a spacer for a "5th" gear.... what is this used for in the stock configuration(under a bus)
