John - THAT's just a bit into the future! I've experimented with a 2.0meg candle-power handheld sealed beam to get "tailgaters" off me rear AND encourage Dudes/Dudettes from blinding me with their hi-beams/racks of "fog" lights while heading towards me. Usually works fine. Professional photographic strobes just did not give the sustained lumens to get the jerks attention, though.

Methinks the US Navy 12", 4.3 million-candle-power searchlights are the most practical. They're compatible with the 12vdc auto electricals, they can be rack mounted OR hand-held and they are cheap.

BOB - WA4RRN '85GL ALGORE FOR FOUR MORE!
