hear, hear! my '82 (air-cooled) vanagon may be the best vehicle i ever owned and my first was a '31 model a coupe. it easily reaches and can surpass legal speed limits, at least on straightaways; you just gotta be a little patient while it gets there. but hey, patience and being just a little laid-back in such matters is part of the veedub karma. cheers... cheers...
