The convex right side power mirror on my '89 works great. It has a wide-angle view so you can see back, to the right, and down. I can parallel park quickly and accurately in that van because I have a really good view of the right rear wheel from the driver's seat. I would assume the non power version would have equivalent performance. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a non-power convex mirror for my '82 at a reasonable price.

Sure, I think so, at least after you get used to the difference in size of the image.

WCM sells a "convex head" non-electric mirror for the vangon for about $95--ouch. Are there cheaper options?

I think Bus Depot offered to order one for me for quite a bit less than $95. Instead, though, I ordered one for $56 from a list member (not Bus Depot) in September but it hasn't come yet. I think this means they really aren't available that cheap.
