I pulled the grille today to check what differences the headlights had. The outer edge of the glass is about 3-5mm from the reflector, while the inner edge is about 20-25 mm tall. In addition, they have two fastening tabs on the inner side, but only one tab on the outside. The more interesting thing I found was the HELLA p/n on the little p/n sticker. this sticker contains both the VW/Audi p/n and the HELLA p/n:

1AD 128 514-01 for the left, 1AD 128 513-01 for the right.

Check your HELLA dealer about these, maybe they can get them. I know the HELLA dealer can get OEM headlights for the companies that HELLA provides headlights.
