Yau-Man - I rejected a career in Astronomy after my Professor, back in '72, explained to us the "doppler effect" of light emitted from stars moving AWAY vs TOWARD us and, then, proceeded to show us examples of stars emitting BOTH frequencies of light which, I assumed, meant that they are moving AWAY & TOWARD us at the same time???

I rejected a career in Engineering after I found out, in physics class, that you have to treat the study of light as though it is BOTH a particle AND a wave!

I KNEW I could never "make it" as a Vanagon mechanic after they dropped using carburetors, SO, I settled on something understandable, like veterinary medicine!
